Training Requirements

Firefighter Training:

All new Firefighters (Junior and Probationary) must complete the following training. This is not a complete list of all required training. It is only meant to get you started.

Required Free FEMA Training:

*You must provide proof of course registration, completion, and passing the exam. Send all documents to a 43 Captain, or wwfire43 [at] gmail [dot] com.

Fire Police Officer Training:

All new Fire Police Officers must complete the following training. This is not a complete list of all required training. It is only meant to get you started.

Required Free FEMA Training:

Additional Training:

The following additional training is required for all Firefighters and Fire Police Officers, and must be renewed every 2 years: CPR (AHA). This training will be organized and scheduled by the fire department officers.

The following additional training is required to drive any Fire Apparatus (ex. Utility-43, Car-43, Brush-43, Engine-43, etc.): CEVO 4 Fire. Any member that expects to operate a vehicle with red & blue lights will need this training. The following training is strongly advised for all First Responders: Traffic Incident Management (TIMS).
